So, I stumbled upon a car show yesterday in Pacific Beach. It had the usual groups of candy colored trailer queens and barely there rat rods, even a couple odd man out ramblers and Metropolitans.. But it had one car that stood out just because i couldn't tell what the hell it was. I present to you "The Transformer"
Kind of a mechanical Spider thing going on. I didn't really have time to talk to the builder, but he was from somewhere in Baja. It has this wing-thing in the back thar raises and articulates , a custom body and interior. Not exactly what I would do, but it was nice to see someone that tried something different.

Daisy Duke shorts and pink heels. I approve.
As for the "car", love that people create random crap like that. Pretty wild. Got any more pics, looks like the rear end is pretty wild? (no pun intended).

She wasn't too good from the front. You wouldn't believe some of the other girls there though...Good god, but my wife was with me and she had the potato/camera so I couldn't really indulge. I'll post some more later this evening if I get the chance.

You just described PB perfectly.

I never said it was pretty.

Now I know why I saw a couple bitchin rides heading south through Carlsbad. I saw the Metropolitan too, pretty sure they're locals.

I love PB, it's just so...weird.

I've seen a few riding around here. Was the one you saw baby blue? Also, i think it was the same weekend as Encinitas cruise night, so probably a lot of the same cars.

Yeah, two tone white / baby blue with American flags. Older couple, I've seen them a few times in north county.

There's a red convertible one I'll sometimes see tooling around Clairemont.

Ah, yes, Charger Steve's Wild Rides: the day East County invades PB.
Skipped it this year, and did some work on the Bug instead. Did they still have the go-go dancers with bullet wound scars?

Maybe, like I said, I've never seen this show before. The dancers may have been later in the day, we ran in to the show pretty early before the PB masses arrived. Wounded go-go dancers are really more of a El Cajon thing, I thought.

Yep, that's definitely more of an El Cajon thing, but that's where the hosting club for the show is based out of.

It all makes sense now. There were still a few nice cars there though.
